I occasionally use vicodin for my back pain. A script will last me a long time. I have never abused the drug. Never thought people got addicted to Vicodin like they do to oxycontin, which I never have taken. Also, I too could care less abou the celebrities who think they have a story. They are just attention ******!

@MrStimshady Yeh has to be oxycontin, because there is no way your eating 100 vicodin a day and still be alive. I’ve heard of 30 a day, but 100 no fricken way.

@QuickScoper13 i totally agree—7.5 mg vicoden and 10mg percs–i get so much more acoomplished on them–but i also take them with sleeping pills and alcohol–actually a 40oz.lol—i can shadowbox with more energy afterwards–i also smoke newport cigarrettes with them–the feeling is like nothing else i’ve ever felt–they are very addictive–and my attitude is so much better afterwards–it’s actually scary-lol

For people that don’t know how the vicodin are i take them to this day its not that they make my body feel no pain they make you soooo damn happy. its the best pill in the world.

I am the narrator who stated this patient was taking “The Equivalent of about 100 Vicodin a day” everythingyouwanted makes a great point about the dangers of tylenol, but this patient was taking OxyContin which contains no tylenol. This patients treatment took place years ago when OxyContin came in a 160mg tablet. Patient took 3 tablets for breakfast and was wide awake (480mg Oxy is about 100 Vicodin 5mg tabs). Pt. took 10-15 OxyContin tablets a day, his treatment went fine.

i dont belive this man when he says he took 100 vicodins man im 170 pounds i have taken up to 15 pills and was almost on my death bed my resperation was at 8 8 beats per min now this guy is probably the same weight mabey less no way can he consume 100 vicodin someone ten times bigger then debo would be dead i believe him if he wwere to say he took 20 or 30 but 100 comon man u lie
Comment by stacks6969allday — August 31, 2011 @ 9:29 am
This can’t be true, 100 vicodin would kill you from the tylenol. He could be taking the equivilent in a different substance but 100 vicodin, even the low APAP ones would be 30grams of tylenol so he has his numbers mixed up.
Comment by Opanami — September 3, 2011 @ 7:29 pm
Patient says he took 100 vicodin for breakfast @2:26 Each reg str Vicodin contains 500mg of tylenol (acetominophen) so 100 tabs x 500mg =50000mg of Tylenol divide by 1000mg/g = 50 gm of acetominophen. Look at a nomogram or Tylenol overdose calculator. In an average healthy person 7.5g is toxic and 15g is fatal. Either he is lying or the doctor has him on a continuous acetylcysteine (iv antidote) drip!!!. This whole thing is full of beans. Do you have the guts to print this?
Comment by everythinguwanted — September 5, 2011 @ 4:17 am
Let’s do the math. Narrator says he gets equivalent of 700 vicodin daily, not the vicodin extra strenght they keep showing. 700 tab x 5mg/tab =3500mg and a comparative dose without literature I can only guess a fentanyl drip would be required as you can’t pump that much morphine (292mg) over 24 hrs the pt would have respiratory failure. But a better indication that this docudrama is full of it is his admission to taking 100 vicodin PILLS. see next

This documentory proves to me that if you know anything about a subject you realize you cannot believe anything on tv or in print because they are riddled with ridiculous errors. @2:06 the narrator says he was taking the equivalent of 700 vicodin. @2:12 the patient refers to that statement as a time when he felt he was dying.. “that’s a lot of pills”, he says. @2:27 he said he got up and had his “breakfast of champions” of 100 Vicodin! He said tablets not equivalents. Meanwhile he’s alert in bed

@Methadone4Life i hear ya. I was taking morphine and oxycodone for years. I’ve tried rehab, weening down, and cold turkey myself. Methadone was and is the answer for my addiction as well. Some people give me a hard time about saying that I’m just trading one for another. Well, what those ignorant people do not realize is that I do have a better quality of life today. No more running around doing this and that, I have money, and my relationships with my family is a lot better. Good luck.
